Approach

    Medicaid Expansion: MassHealth-expanding coverage of children through age 18 whose families have incomes from 133%and 200% FPL. Already expanded eligibility once from 100% to 133% of the fpl July 1, 1997 for all Medicaid children ages 6-13 whose family incomes are through age 18 of the fpl 200% of the fpl

    New Program: New subsidized insurance program, MassHealth Family Assistance plan-for children through age 18 in families with incomes between150% and 200% FPL. Cost sharing between 1%-2% will be required.


Mental Health Benefits

    Medicaid All benefits provided under the Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) requirement in Medicaid, including: screening diagnosis and assessment; testing; psychotherapy; prescription drugs; partial hospitalization; emergency care; consultation and education; day treatment; in-home services; collateral services; therapeutic foster care; early intervention services; crisis programs; and services to youth in certain residential placements.
