Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression (STAR*D)

Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression, or STAR*D, is the largest-of-its-kind research on depression treatments. The STAR*D findings confirm what clinicians and individuals with depression have known along: treatment works.

The first phase of STAR*D was released on January 1, 2006. Three more phases are expected.
