Mental Health America Help Desk

In order to better serve the public, Mental Health America provides an information and referral service. We can provide referrals to a broad range of local services and support groups, as well as literature on various mental health issues. However, Mental Health America is unable to provide medical advice, legal advice, individual advocacy, or counseling.

If you have not already visited our Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (FAQs) section at http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/go/faqs/, we encourage you to do so. The FAQs section offers an extensive, user-friendly list of resources to help find services in your community, including treatment, support groups, medication information, prescription payment assistance, local Mental Health America affiliate offices, and more.

If you would like to contact us directly, be sure to provide city and state information for the person who needs services so that we can provide appropriate community referrals since most programs and services, including emergency services, are region/location specific.

For urgent requests, please provide a telephone number along with your e-mail and street address.

If you or someone you know is in crisis now, seek help immediately. Call 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) to reach a 24 hour crisis center or dial 911 for immediate assistance.
